Session - 22/03/2024 ; Location - Horsens
Note: First night session with the Seestar S50. Went quite well setting it up. After the first few shots of M82 sitting next to the telescope, I took the phone (which was connected) into the bedroom (room closest to the telescope), and it was still connected. So I just let i shoot away. Eventually I took the phone into the living room (furtest room from the telescope), and the connection was still fine.
| Object | Observation type | Eyepiece/camera | Magnification | Filter | Note | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| M82 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | Did roughly 15min exposure of this target. It was very clear after a few shots, that we got the target |
| NGC884 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | Was observed together with NGC869 |
| M1 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | First time observing this object. Some structure and colour visible after then ~20min exposure |
| M97 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | Funny looking little planetary nebula |
| M101 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | Started to see hints of spiral arms, but the stacked image was ruined by two satellites. I will try to save the sequence in the future, so I can deselect those images with trails of satellites and other things. |
| M45 | Seestar S50 (f5.0) | Seestar S50: S50 (2.0MP) | This observation was cut short, as clouds started to block the view. The seven sisters will probably have to wait until next winter |
