Session - 17/10/2023 ; Location - Horsens

Note: Quick morning session to have a look at Venus, but while I was up, also to see M42

Object Observation type Eyepiece/camera Magnification Filter Note
M42 Explorer 150PDS (f5.0) Kellner (fov: 0.8°) 50X It almost said "welcome back old friend". It was nice to see again, in the early morning
Jupiter Explorer 150PDS (f5.0) Kellner (fov: 0.8°) 50X While I have observed Jupiter plenty of times by now, it was nice to see the change in the positions of the moons relative to last night.
Venus Explorer 150PDS (f5.0) Kellner (fov: 0.8°) 50X I don't usually care much for observing Venus since it is mostly just bright with no visible surface features. However, this was my first time observing the phase of Venus (I might have seen it a few days ago with binoculars, but hard to tell). This was quite interesting, and gave me a good reason to come back to our neighbour in the future as well.
